Sweetest Dreams

"Sugar" is just a dream come true. We took a chance on a crippled granddaughter of both Leo and Sugar Bars in 2000. We figured she would only be able to carry one foal for us so we had better breed her to the best. I sold my barrel horse and we booked her to Sun Frost. It was one of the most exciting times of my life. I never thought I'd be able to breed a mare to Sun Frost. I remember riding out on top of a hill and just hollering "Sun Frost" because I was so excited!! Jae Bar Sidra (we called her Sugar) didn't get in foal the first year. It was our first year to AI mares and we were rookies. The second year she stuck. We babied her through the winter and the following spring "Little Sugar" was born. Her dam raised her until she was three months old. We lost the great mare to a stroke. What a gift she left behind for us. Sugar is a product of big dreams that came true. There is a reason she is named Sweetest Dreams! We are just so very pleased with this mare. She is not only beautiful but a hard working, good boned, sound, sweet mare. I still look at her papers in awe. What perfection! We will breed her, probably to Flitterpated, this year. We are excited to see her foals!
